Bloom was previously group commercial officer at Melville GES in the UK, having joined the company in 1998. He now moves to a global role with American parent company GES.

At Melville, Bloom was instrumental in the recent extension of Melville’s UBM account in the UK and Europe.

In his new role, he will focus on sales and commercial development for exhibitions and events within the EMEA region, and work closely with the GES North American sales teams on organisers’ growing international requirements.

Jason Popp , executive vice president of international for GES, said: "With many of our clients taking a global approach to show ownership, it is important that we are able to offer them a global service. Ted has an in-depth knowledge of our customers throughout the UK, Europe and Middle East, and understands how we can best deliver supporting services to them. His innovative approach is a huge asset to both our organisation and our clients."
