
Chantry will become Kraft Heinz's chief marketing officer for UK and Ireland and will join in the New Year.
He will report to Rafael Oliveira, the zone president of Europe, and the managing director for UK and Ireland.
Chantry has been at Birds Eye for two-and-a-half years. Prior to this he worked at Mondelez International, Cadbury and Reckitt Benckiser. His position will be replaced at Birds Eye.
The merger of Kraft Heinz completed in July 2015. Key brands include Philadelphia, Capri-Sun, Heinz and Kraft.
Giles Jepson, the former Heinz UK chief marketing officer, who was promoted to chief marketing officer at Kraft Heinz for Europe in 2014, will continue to oversee the company's European marketing activity.
Philadelphia is currently reviewing its creative account. The incumbent is J Walter Thompson London.
Last year, Bartle Bogle Hegarty London was appointed to handle the creative account for Heinz in the UK and the Heinz Sauces business across Europe, including Heinz Ketchup. Meanwhile, CHI & Partners works on creative activity for Kraft Heinz’s UK sauces, including HP Sauce, Lea & Perrins and Amoy.
In September, Birds Eye shifted its marketing approach from a masterbrand strategy, to running more product-focused campaigns. These include the first dedicated Captain Birdseye TV ad in over a decade, which launched in September, and the first TV in four years for its peas in October, created by Grey London.
