Project: Interviews from Hell Client: Kendall Tarrant Agency: Modem Media with Pistol Marketing

Recruitment consultancy Kendall Tarrant wanted to highlight the emphasis it places on vetting and picking candidates.

A project to promote the firm aimed to bring this idea to life with a concept the audience could relate to and showed that Kendall Tarrant understood what it was looking for in a candidate.

Hence, the 'Interview from Hell' microsite featured six films of extremely unsuitable candidates to highlight the endline: 'It's not just the people we put in front of you. It's the people we don't.'

So far, the site has gained a silver nomination at the 2005 D&AD Awards and won a bronze Cyberlion at Cannes 2005 for online advertising.

Judges said: "It was refreshing to see the business-to-business category has evolved to be much more engaging. 'Interviews from Hell' is a brilliant insight into the world of recruitment. It takes a very dull topic and delivers a compelling human story to which everyone can relate. You have to view every one."

Criteria

This recognises the project that best uses interactivity to promote b2b products or services. The judges looked at how business needs were met by a service that could not be replicated offline.
