Billington Cartmell appoints business director to boost B2B

LONDON - Integrated agency Billington Cartmell has hired Julie Salvage as its first dedicated business director responsible for B2B marketing.

Salvage will have a new business and client service role at Billington Cartmell where she will develop the B2B unit and build on the agency's work with B2B clients including Panasonic, Ordnance Survey and lighting company Lutron.

Prior to Billington Cartmell, Salvage was a group account director at Tidalwave, which she left a year ago to go on maternity leave.

Before agency life Salvage worked at Sun Microsystems and Computacenter.

Ian Billington, chairman of Billington Cartmell, said: "We first met Julie a few years ago and felt she was totally likeminded to our business approach, and importantly, to our vibrant culture.

"Her energy, expertise and contacts will help us to develop B2B business in exactly the right way."

Salvage said: "It's good to be joining the BCL group at such an exciting stage in its development. The company is well on its way to establishing a strong presence within the B2B arena, with great case studies on a range of global and domestic clients."
