Big Brother's lies to rock house on Friday as six face eviction

LONDON – 'Big Brother' is getting evil again this year having lied to housemates twice this week, resulting in six housemates unknowingly facing the public vote, while the other three, who are safe, falsely believe that they are facing the chop.

Zimbabwean nurse Makosi, Tory speechwriter Derek, student Vanessa, rapper Science, engineer Eugene and Belfast-based model Orlaith are up for eviction after failing to make nominations.

'Big Brother' rules state that all housemates must make nominations unless told not to by Big Brother but on Sunday, housemates were warned they would receive two lies this week.

The first lie turned out to be when Big Brother announced that nominations were optional. This led to six housemates deciding not to nominate, meaning they are automatically up for eviction.

Only hairdresser Craig, dancer Anthony and belly dancer Kemal made nominations, so will be saved from the public vote. However, Big Brother has told the trio that they are up for nomination -- the final, second lie of the week.

In the live show on Friday, two out of the six housemates who are really up for eviction will be told the public has chosen them to go and in another twist the remaining housemates will have to choose who out of the two they want to see evicted.

Vanessa is bookmakers Paddy Power's favourite to go with odds of 6/4, Orlaith is next on 3/1 while Science is third on 10/3 and Derek on 5/1.

Rank outsiders are Makosi on 15/2 and Eugene on 14/1.

Meanwhile Anthony is joint favourite to win the £100,000 prize money with Makosi, on odds of 3/1. Derek is third favourite to win with odds slipping from 3/1 to 5/1.

Warren Lush, spokesman at bookmakers Ladbrokes, said the Geordie's close friendship with camp Craig has turned the public's opinion of him.

"His frolics with Craig have made him a hit with the viewers and he now tops the tree for the very first time," he said.

During the housemates' mini-task earlier this week, Anthony was seen holding hands with Craig as they walked round the garden looking for treasure that Big Brother had hidden.
