
The reality show, which aired between 9pm and 10pm, was watched by an average of 2.2 million viewers on Channel 4 alone, achieving an 8.9% share of viewing.
The 11the series of the flagship show, which ends tomorrow night, was up slightly on the previous Sunday, when it was watched by 2.18 million viewers on Channel 4 and by 2.49 million viewers, including Channel 4+1 ratings.
Although this current run marks the last series for Channel 4, the broadcaster is stringing out the format for a further fortnight.
After the final, the winner of series 11 will re-enter the house and compete against well-known names from past series of ‘Big Brother’ and ‘Celebrity Big Brother’, in a two-week spin-off called ‘Ultimate Big Brother’.
Elsewhere, BBC One’s best ratings performance was for ‘Secret Britain’, which pulled in a total of 5.3 million viewers and achieved a 21.5% share.
‘Heartbeat’ gave ITV1 its best ratings performance of the night, pulling in an average of five million viewers and a 21.8% share on ITV1 and ITV1 HD.
Five’s peak performance occurred during its transmission of the blockbuster ‘Terminator: Rise of the Machines’, which attracted an average of 1.8 million viewers and a 7.7% share.
