Bhalla made global director at TNS

LONDON - Market research network TNS has appointed Gaurav Bhalla as global innovation director responsible for driving and implementing solutions across the business.

Based in Washington, Bhalla will be responsible for identifying new products and services for TNS across its global network, which spans 70 countries and employs over 13,000 people.

Prior to TNS, Bhalla worked in management consultancy before running his own marketing strategy and systems consultancy for more than 12 years. When the company became part of TNS he took on the role of executive vice-president for strategic services.

Bhalla said: "TNS is a skilled provider of cutting-edge information services for decision making and this increased focus on delivering greater insight for clients will ensure TNS maintains its industry leading position. vThis role will help to establish an environment where creative talent can continue to thrive within TNS."

TNS hope Bhalla's strong academic connections will enable it to tap into the latest thinking in marketing and strategy.

John Abraham, who Bhalla will report to, was appointed head of strategic development and marketing in February.
