There’s no sign of BetVictor’s publicity-hungry founder, Victor Chandler, in the bookmaker’s latest ad, but the former England football manager Sven-Göran Eriksson makes an appearance. VCCP created the TV spot, in which Eriksson goes to his shed to play with his model trains – while dressed as a conductor – and is interrupted by Maurice (played by the comedian Paul Kaye), who is desperate to know the latest football odds. The football pundit Mark Lawrenson will feature in the next ad in the campaign. The work was created by Tom Juneau and directed by Simon Cole through HSI. MediaCom handled media.
