The Get Crafty for our Climate event aims to raise awareness of the People’s Climate March, which takes place on 29 November, as well as encourage people to take part in the activity.

Attendees will be able to create their own climate change messages, with paint, stitches, glitter and other art and craft materials available to use free of charge. The Craftivist Collective's Sarah Corbett will also be on hand to provide creative advice and inspiration.

Ben & Jerry’s ice cream is to be stocked in large quantities and DJ Oh Annie Oh will provide entertainment. Prizes including a year’s supply of Ben & Jerry’s product will be presented to those who produce the most inventive climate change creations.

The event will be held at Rich Mix in Shoreditch from 6.30-9.30pm. Entry is free, however those interested in attending are required to register beforehand to secure a place.

The People’s Climate March takes place on the eve of the UN talks on climate change, and it aims to influence global leaders to take action.
