Devised by food start-up La Belle Assiette, the event, which took place at the weekend (8 October) at Venturi's Table Cookery School, lasted 16 hours and 30 minutes with a 9am start and a 1.30am finish and featured dishes prepared by nine chefs using a variety of cooking techniques, including sautéing, frying, blanching, boiling, sous viding, blending and piping. In total, 1,029 dishes were served, and the same number of plates washed up, with 103 people enjoying the experience.
More than 300-plus glasses of Nicolas Feuillatte Champagne were enjoyed, with three different Champagnes served to each guest. Across social media, there were 728 shares of #1menu100courses on Twitter and the organisers estimate that around 145,000 calories were consumed on the day.
Over the summer, into Paris' left bank, La Rive Gauche, for an evening celebrating food and wine. Charity last month, hosting an evening of experiences and entertainment.
