Becks to launch activities promotion

LONDON - InBev lager brand Becks is set to run an on-pack promotion offering activities including music lessons as part of its summer marketing.

The 'Do Something Different Next Weekend' campaign, created by The Big Kick, offering purchasers tickets on a buy one get one free basis to a variety of activities.

To take advantage of the promotion consumers need to redeem an on-pack voucher online. Activities on offer include music lessons, comedy and paintballing.

The promotion will run from the end of June on two million packs of beer. It is the first work The Big Kick has created for InBev since it was in March.

move to run a BOGOF deal on activities follows a similar campaign by SCA toilet roll brand Charmin, but targeted kids and families.

Becks brand director Ken Valledy said: "Not only are we aiming to attract new consumers into the Beck’s brand with this promotional activity, it is also demonstrates our continued commitment to offer our consumers a strong brand identity they can engage with by providing the means to experience new & different things.

"The ‘Do Something Different Next Weekend’ promotion rewards consumers’ loyalty with the opportunity to gain real value and make genuine savings which is ever more important in the current climate."
