B|Com3 postpones IPO

B|Com3 has postponed plans for an IPO because of turbulent market conditions.

LONDON (Brand Republic) – B|Com3 has postponed plans for an IPO because of turbulent market conditions.

B|Com3, which owns advertising agencies Leo Burnett and D’Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles and media network Starcom MediaVest Group, had expected an initial public offering a year to 18 months after its formation in March 2000.

CEO Roger Haupt said market conditions were volatile and that the business environment had changed dramatically. He added that B|Com3 remains committed to an IPO but its board of directors believed this would be unwise this year.
