BBH's Ginsters spots win top honours in this month's Aerials

Bartle Bogle Hegarty swept the board at this month's Aerial Awards for radio creativity.

Justin Moore and Steve Robertson created three spots for Ginsters foods that took the winner and two runners-up slots. Their "sex line" spot was voted the winner, with "lonely" and "interview" as runners-up.

The June Aerial Awards, in association with ±±¾©Èü³µpk10, were judged by Jo Moore and Simon Robinson of WCRS. Monthly winners will be entered for the annual Aerial Awards to be held on 4 November.

"Sex line", a 20-second spot, features a man calling a sex line. He is met with a husky female voiceover.

We hear the woman chewing her way through a pasty while she explains what she looks like: "I've got dark, mousy hair, hips that are spreading like an oil slick, three chins, and I'm wearing leggings." The man hangs up before the endline: "Ginsters. Real honest fare."

The judges selected the winning campaign for "excellent casting, a touch of humour and an endline that explains the product".

The winning ads can be heard on the Aerial Awards site www.aerials.co.uk.
