BBH hires creative director in New York

Bartle Bogle Hegarty's New York office has ended its six month search for a creative director with the appointment of Kevin McKeon who joins from Lowe Lintas.

Bartle Bogle Hegarty's New York office has ended its six month search for a creative director with the appointment of Kevin McKeon who joins from Lowe Lintas.

He will take over creative command from John Hegarty, the BBH chairman and worldwide creative director, who is due to return to London next month.

MCKeon,43. has won a string of awards--including gold, silver and bronze lions at Cannes--during a 21 year career spanning Needham Harper & Steers, Korey Kay & Partners, Ammirati & Puris, BBDO and Scali McCcCabe Sloves.

At Lowes he has run the agency's Sony. Mercedes and Burger King business and, most recently, has been overseeing the agency's UPS and Heineken accounts.

Hegarty said: "Kevin is a team player and has built his reputation on his ability to get the best out of people."

The BBH New York office, which opened in September 1998 has a client lost which includes Reebok, Johnnie Walker whisky and Lipton Foods.
