Reeves picks the 60s comic actor, Terry-Thomas. The 60-second film,

which breaks on 4 April, opens on a small child speaking of his

admiration for the funnyman - who reminds him of his dad. As the child

is explaining why he likes Thomas, he appears to ’grow up’ into the

adult Reeves, with first the boy’s head, then his body, morphing into

that of the anarchic comedian.

Reeves then appears in the midst of one of Thomas’s films, School for

Scoundrels, being pelted with tennis balls by Thomas.

Reeves explains that he wants to have a One-2-One with his idol ’to find

out exactly how much of his act was the real Terry-Thomas’. The endline

remains: ’Who would you most like to have a One-2-One with?’

The commercial was written by Steve Hudson and art directed by Victoria

Fallon. It was directed by Mehdi Norowzian through Joy Films. Media is

being handled by Motive.

BBH recruited Kate Moss and John McCarthy to star in the last campaign

and won two silver awards for its work at the recent British Television

Advertising awards.

BBH won the pounds 10 million Mercury One-2-One account in June 1995 and

quickly axed Beatrice Dalle and Robert Lindsay in favour of real-life

situations.

Its first film showed a group of girls in a bar telephoning the barman

because they were waiting for their drinks.
