Under the deal, BBC Worldwide will now handle the multiplatform licensing programme including live events, licensed products, magazine and other publishing, and online activity that was previously dealt with by Shine Television.
The partnership will include all MasterChef branded activity including BBC Haymarket Exhibitions' event BBC Good Food Show London, which is to be relaunched as MasterChef Live: A BBC Good Food Production from November.
BBC Worldwide will also handle MasterChef branded publications such as "bookazines" and "partworks" and a MasterChef website hosted on BBC Worldwide's www.bbcgoodfood.com.
Peter Phippen, managing director of BBC Magazines, children's and licensing for BBC Worldwide, said he was "delighted to be working with Shine and said fans of MasterChef will be given a wide range of opportunities to "experience the brand beyond the television screen".
MasterChef has international editions in Australia, France, the Middle East, Germany and Sweden in deals brokered by Shine Group's sales and distribution arm ShineReveille International.
