The year-long agreement gives Qatar Airways sponsorship credits on two global weather spots each day, which are available to BBC World's 65m weekly viewers.
The sponsorship deal with Qatar Airways further strengthens BBC World's relationship with the international airline, which also includes advertising on the channel and a distribution agreement.
Qatar Airways recently became the first international airline to provide passengers with live streaming of BBC World on seatback TV systems of selected long-haul Airbus A330 aircraft within and between the Middle East and Europe.
Hani Soubra, BBC World's regional director, said: "We are delighted to extend our relationship with Qatar Airways and believe this sponsorship reiterates the strong faith advertisers have in BBC World. It also demonstrates the channel's ability to produce innovative, bespoke solutions for its clients beyond just traditional advertising spots."
Akbar Al Baker, Qatar Airways CEO, said: "Qatar Airways is proud to continue our long association with BBC World by sponsoring the channel's weather forecast."
