- BBC Worldwide has announced that its monthly science and technology title, BBC Tomorrow's World Magazine, is to close.

The BBC said the magazine, which was launched in March and based on the BBC programme, failed to reach its target sales. In its first and only ABC sales audit, for the period from March to May, the magazine achieved sales of 61, 314. The current issue on sale, cover-dated December, will be the magazine's final issue.

Stuart Smith, director, sports, motoring and entertainment group at BBC Worldwide UK, said: "With BBC Tomorrow's World Magazine we had hoped to attract more people into the science magazine market, as we have done very successfully in other markets. We especially targeted fathers and sons, who particularly enjoy the programme and relate to the brand."
