The BBC has launched a TV ad for BBC Radio 6 Music featuring its celebrity DJs Jarvis Cocker, Lauren Laverne, Huey Morgan and Cerys Matthews.
The 40-second TV ad by Fallon shows the celebrities carrying speakers and radios playing the music that listeners can expect to hear on their shows.
All the speakers end up in a pile to represent the Radio 6 Music building. The campaign also includes digital banners that promote 6 specially created mixes, put together by the DJs, which can be downloaded at bbc.co.uk/6music. A vinyl record of the mixes has been created by Fallon and distributed with artwork and posters, designed by Fallon, to all independent record stores. Gorgeous’ Dom Bridges directed the ad through Red Bee.
