The first issue goes on sale from 22 March.
The BBC hopes to sell 70,000 copies of the magazine, which will be priced £1.75 and will have a unique tall heavyweight cover and collectable covermounts.
The multi-character format echoes the BBC's monthly title Toybox, but the publisher aims to reflect the weekly scheduling of the Cbeebies digital channel, which will be promoted with the prominent positioning of the station's logo on the front page. It will also crosspromote the Cbeebies website.
The tie-in aims to create anticipation for the programmes and promote the message of learning through play, focusing on encouraging parent/child interaction and activities to promote reward accomplishment with a removeable reward chart and "I did it" stickers.
Pauline Cooke, publisher at BBC Magazines pre-school group, said: "Our research has shown that parents extend their trust of the Cbeebies channel to the magazine in terms of quality and educational value. CBeebies Weekly will be at the heart of our portfolio."
