BBC "Goodbye rainclouds" by BBC Creative

BBC has launched a community-focused cartoon for this year's BBC Children in Need Appeal.

Narrated by comedian Sara Pascoe, the cartoon spot follows children from all walks of life as they deal with deafness, physical disability and poverty.

"Life can be tricky at the best of times, but at the worst of times it can feel impossible, like you’re living under a raincloud," the ad declares. However, each child’s challenges are resolved through a series of social schemes, including a hearing dog for deaf people, food charities and community groups for people with disabilities.

It ends as viewers are encouraged to donate to Children in Need in order to encourage children to "be the best they can be". The work was created by Jules Middleton.

BBC Children in Need currently supports more than 3,900 local charities and projects across the UK.
