BBC Good Food Asia is published by Regent Media of Singapore, and will initially be distributed in Singapore and Malaysia, with plans to eventually roll out the title in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Thailand and Taiwan. It is Regent Media's first licensed food magazine in Asia.

The magazine has an initial print run of 50,000 and is priced at $7.50 Singapore dollars.

Regent Media already publishes BBC Knowledge and Lonely Planet Asia under licence from the British Broadcasting Corporation.

BBC Good Food Asia is a full-colour glossy title, modelled closely on the UK edition. Each issue will feature about 70 tried-and-tested recipes.

The Asian edition will comprise 60% UK content and 40% local content, and will, for example, include dedicated sections on the Asian kitchen and pantry.

Cecilia Woo, publisher of BBC Good Food Asia, said: "The BBC brand is well known around the world for its long and illustrious heritage, and responsible and exemplary journalism. With its international look and trusted brand name and content from BBC's specialist publishing output, the magazine ensures excellent quality and great value for advertisers and consumers."

BBC Good Food magazine is already published under licence in Romania, the Middle East, Australia and Bulgaria. BBC Magazines began expanding the brand internationally in 2006.
