
Held at the NEC Birmingham from 15-19 June, the combined events, which have been run alongside each other for five years, attracted an audience of more than 112,000.
Re-bookings were also up, with 10% more exhibitors than last year confirming their place for 2012 on site.
Celebrity gardeners Monty Don, Alan Titchmarsh and Carol Klein, and TV chefs James Martin and Rachel Allen made appearances throughout the five-day event, hosting live demonstrations.
"This year we pulled out all the stops and I’m proud to say that we delivered one of our best shows yet," said BBC Haymarket Exhibitions managing director Laura Biggs.
"A successful strategic shift in marketing campaign was a resounding success helping us to buck the current trend and deliver a vast increase in paid visitors year on year.
"This year we also increased our focus on customer care with a dedicated onsite team, which meant we could deliver a great service to all our visitors as well as giving them a great day out."
