- The BBC has turned to pop star, Louise, news anchorman Michael Buerk and the children's TV presenter, Zoe Ball, to showcase the breadth and diversity of BBC Online in a new digital information film.

Created by agency of record Leagas Delaney the film takes viewers on a journey through the spectrum of BBC web pages, through news, education and entertainment sites, linked to programmes and services such as the children's show, 'Live and Kicking', CBBC, Antiques Roadshow, BBC Sport , Radio 1 and the BBC Online Homepage.

The film shows the interactive nature of BBC Online through a series of vignettes where members of the public suddenly find themselves face to face with stars and BBC personalities.

In a provincial record store a young boy is at the listening station singing along, badly, to a record. As the camera pulls back, we see Zoe Ball who gives his rendition a thumbs down. The web address, www.bbc.co.uk/cbbc, then flashes up on the screen.

In another film, news anchorman Michael Buerk brings the world news to an overworked executive, whilst also telling him what's for morning tea: "China. What's happening?" Earthquake"; "Middle East?" "Unstable"; "Tea and biscuits?" "Five minutes".

Other segments feature sports presenter Dougie Donnelly and Antiques Roadshow presenter Hugh Scully. The segments are joined together by flying trips through the cabling which connects the BBC to its audience.

Other films in the series will showcase BBC Choice, a general entertainment channel supporting and extending BBC 1 and 2, BBC News 24, the 24 hour news channel, and BBC Learning, the UK's first channel dedicated to education and digital radio.

Previous BBC information films have featured the likes of Ruby Wax, Michael Palin, Jeremy Irons and Harry Enfield among others talking about digital technology.
