BBC appoints Rainey Kelly and Fallon to creative duties

LONDON - The BBC has appointed Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R and Fallon to its £20m creative roster.

The two agencies were picked following a final three-way shootout against WCRS. Fallon has been retained by the BBC while RKCR/Y&R is a new addition to the roster.

DDB London, and the former roster agencies, DFGW and Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO, were all knocked out of the race in September.

The BBC briefed the pitching agencies with three separate tasks. These included an overarching branding brief to influence public perception of the corporation and two separate challenges designed to increase viewing figures for 'EastEnders' and BBC News.

The broadcaster called the statutory review in August 2005. The review was overseen by Tim Davie, the BBC's director of marketing.
