Peck will be mentoring Rebecca Scott, aged 18 from East London, from today until the awards ceremony.
Scott will learn practical event management skills and observe the awards’ final production meeting at the Grosvenor House with the full crew.
The scheme is run by Youyou Mentoring which runs career-building schemes for young people who like Scott are often NEET (not in employment, education or training).
Scott helped to set up fundraising events for local causes at school, and was particularly inspired to work with Peck because the successful events director has no formal qualifications in events management.
