Barclays Bank is to invest 拢87m in football over the next three years with its 拢57m sponsorship of the Premiership and a 拢30m initiative to create sports facilities across the UK.
The announcement took place at The Brewery last month as Barclays kicked off its 拢19m a year sponsorship of English football's top-flight with a media event.
A crowd of 150 journalists met for a champagne reception before walking through a walkway that charted Barclays' association with football. The London venue's Porter Tun room was transformed for the press conference with tiered seating and a penalty shoot-out area.
