Barclays backs Sun local business competition judged by Dragons' Den's Theo Paphitis

As part of the campaign Barclays will have a presence across all coverage of the competition including online and in the newspaper.

The campaign, planned by Walker Media, aims to champion local businesses and demonstrate ways consumers can make a difference by supporting them.

Readers of the Sun can nominate businesses that have had an impact on their local community. The winning business will receive £20,000 and the individual who nominates it will win £1,000.

Entries will be split regionally into eight local areas with a runner up winner being picked from each region winning £5,000 each. A grand prize winner will then be picked from these nine businesses and will receive an extra £15,000.
