BA offers free national press advertising to SMEs

British Airways is providing free newspaper and online ads for selected small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) through its On Business loyalty scheme.

Newspaper ads have been bought in the Daily Mail and The Independent from 28 January, starting with Newgate Clocks, the decorative clock company.

The relaunch of the On Business scheme awards points to members when they purchase qualifying BA flights. Points can be redeemed for flights, upgrades and hotel accommodation.

The dedicated , where SMEs can access their accounts, also carries free ads for the companies.

Ian Romanis, head of loyalty, British Airways, said: "British Airways understands that the needs of small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) often differ from those of larger companies and that they sometimes struggle to gain the benefits that many big businesses are offered in their industry, due to their size.

"We're pleased to be able to give some of our SME customers the opportunity to advertise to a broader audience and in turn to drive more revenue and grow."
