B&Q reports strong sales

LONDON - Retailer B&Q has reported a sales increase, crediting a renewed interest in D&Y and better than expected weather for its success.

B&Q reports strong sales

Like-for-like sales were up by nearly 6% in the 13 weeks to November in comparison with 2008.

Overall, B&Q reported retails profits were up by 45% to £43m. Kingfisher, the company which owns B&Q, reported group retail profits of £227m, a rise of just under 29%
