The Little Issue will turn the spotlight on the fact that 100,000 children are currently homeless as part of a new initiative, Aviva Street to School, designed to help these children back into everyday life.
The special edition continues a five-year global commitment by Aviva, valued at more than £1m, designed to make a positive difference to some 500,000 children.
The programme positions the insurer in partnership with Railway Children, the charity dedicated to working with these vulnerable children.
It is designed to help recruit street workers, support staff or regional refuge projects and put in place education programmes aimed at preventing children ending up on the streets.
The Little Issue is a 16-page A5 supplement and will be distributed in UK towns and cities free inside The Big Issue from 27 September.
Aviva has commissioned 100,000 copies of the supplement – the first 50,000 will be given out with The Big Issue and the other 50,000 will be distributed to Aviva staff, customers and business partners.
The company has pledged to give the programme its full support as part of a five-year global commitment, valued at more than £1m, designed to make a positive difference to 500,000 children.
