
The rental company is launching a viral-based competition offering customers the opportunity to win a VIP trip for two to the British grand prix at Silverstone.
The campaign, which was created by Web Liquid, will be targeted through blogs, forums and social networking sites as well as Avis’s newsletter.
Competition entrants will be directed to a microsite where they will be asked a series of motorsport-related questions while being timed against the clock.
By challenging a friend, participants will be given a 10 per cent discount the next time they rent a car with Avis. The runner-up prize is a special edition Silverstone Scalextric set.
