Ask Jeeves US sites to offer Google links

Search engine Google's sponsored links will replace the third-party listings currently featured on Ask Jeeves search sites in the US from September 2002.

The deal will not affect Ask Jeeves' partnership with pay-per-click search providers in the UK. A spokesman for Ask Jeeves UK confirmed that the move only affects the US. He said: "We have no plans to change our partnerships with Espotting, Overture and Mirago."

Ask Jeeves and Google will share the estimated $100 million (£63.3m) advertising revenues made by AskJeeves.com over the three years covered by the partnership. Ask Jeeves also offers its own paid-for listings product.
