Asda's 30ft chocolate hen lays eggs in Easter campaign

Asda's Easter campaign this year features a giant chocolate hen which climbs to the roof of a supermarket and lays eggs for customers.

The film, created by VCCP, shows people amazed with the hen, with several news reports and a crowd gathered outside an Asda store awaiting its arrival.

The hen then walks to the top of the store and lays a chocolate egg which is delivered to staff below through a chute.

During the ad, Tom Jones's 1971 classic song She's A Lady plays as a soundtrack.

Elias Torres handled the art direction, and Dan Glover-James took charge of copywriting. Gary Freedman directed it through Independent. Carat handled the media planning and buying.
