
Ruth Sawtell holds a number of appointments with healthcare bodies, while Anthony Earle Wilkes is the managing director and senior equality and diversity consultant with Crystal Education and Training Consultants.
The ASA council is responsible for administering the UK advertising codes and reviewing how the ASA is performing against its published objectives.
The new members succeed Baroness Jean Coussins and Sunil Gadhia, who have reached the end of their six-year terms.
Sawtell is a non-executive director of the Hertfordshire Partnership NHS Foundation as well as a charitable housing association.
She was also recently appointed a lay member of the Nursing and Midwifery Council, the regulator of nurses and midwives.
Earle Wilkes worked as a teacher and lecturer before establishing CETC. He is also a member of the General Teaching Council.
