The brand has traditionally held a global annual celebration of the Islay single malt, called Ardbeg Day. Last year's event saw 15,000 'Ardbeggians' come together at 135 events around the world, marking the biggest-ever Ardbeg Day in the brand's history. This year, it says 'the shadowy history of Ardbeg's homeland will be recalled...when Ardbeg Day becomes Ardbeg Night'.
Ardbeg Dark Cover is a limited edition Ardbeg Night bottling and what the brand says is 'the darkest Ardbeg ever', and has been inspired by times past, when whiskies needed to be smuggled to be enjoyed.
Depending on the location, Ardbeg Night Festivities will include a sample of the new Ardbeg Dark cove for guests and Ardbeg-themed games, prizes and appetizers. In the UK, events are being held London and Edinburgh.
