The immersive experience takes visitors through the grapes, regions and tastes of wines across the world, and is part of the venue’s multi-million pound refit.

The team installed three 42-inch digital signage screens in the reception area to welcome guests, as well as Samsung SUR40 tables split into four screens in the two main tasting zones. The interactive content takes visitors through a taste experience while they try to create their ideal wine in one of the two education zones.

The experience also features a theatre; interactive pods where visitors can learn about growing and production; and electronic wine dispensers in various tasting locations.

The Arcstream team worked with design consultancy MadeThought to create an aspirational area, which features projections of the Great British countryside where English sparkling wine is produced.

Arcstream also created bespoke content for the interactive games. The software programmes allow visitors to learn about wine through choosing options based on individual flavour preferences.

Lucy Haines, managing director of Vinopolis, said: "We are delighted with how the redevelopment of the spaces is coming together and now we have the technology in place we will be able to develop the content and visitor journey further. This is just the start of the project and we’re excited about how these new installations have the functionality for us to customise them for specific events, brands or the visitor experience in the future."

Paddy Latham of EMG, said: "Our vision for the redevelopment of Vinopolis was to create a fully immersive and interactive experience putting guests on a journey of self discovery, allowing them to learn, rediscover or just revel in what makes wine special to them."

Neil Manwaring, sales and operations director of Arcstream AV, added: "This was a complex and interesting project to work on with Vinopolis. The touch technology is state of the art and designed to allow collaboration, data capture or simple viewing controls depending on the requirement for each area."
