Aqueduct wins design brief for Laureus Awards

LONDON - Integrated agency Aqueduct is to provide design support for the 2008 Laureus World Sports Awards.

Aqueduct, which worked on the 2007 awards in Barcelona, was reappointed by the awards organiser.

This year it will also design the city branding for the host city, St Petersburg, which will be positioned along its key streets.

The winners of the awards are chosen by the members of the Laureus World Sports Academy, an association of 43 living sports legends, under the chairmanship of double Olympic champion Edwin Moses.

Emma Chesworth, marketing executive at Laureus, said: "The Laureus World Sports Awards is a glittering highlight of the sporting calendar and has become renowned for its high profile guest list.

"The Awards Ceremony also showcases the important work undertaken by the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation to help underprivileged and disadvantaged children around the world.

"It is essential that our design team helps us to get that message over as well as providing the high quality material that we need."
