Apple TV ad makes fun of legal copy that plagues PC ads

NEW YORK - Apple has launched a tongue-in-cheek TV ad making fun of the amount of small print that tends to appear in PC adverts.

The ad stars Apple characters PC, a rotund, geeky man, and Mac, his hipper counterpart.

It opens with the PC character explaining that he is an "incredibly easy-to-use PC". But as he utters these words, paragraph after paragraph of disclaimer small-print appears across the bottom of the TV screen.

The ad draws to a close with PC saying: "PCs are now a 100% trouble-free", which causes the entire TV screen to fill with small print.

"Wow," both characters say.

PC exclaims: "That's a lot of legal copy."
