Frost was named deputy chairman at the APA's council meeting last week, and will take over as chairman when Lisa Barnard of Illustrated London News steps down in June 2005.
Publicis Blueprint, currently Marketing's Publishing Agency of the Year, produces customer magazines for clients including Asda, Homebase, Nestle and Renault among others.
Prior to Publicis Blueprint, Frost worked at Redwood publishing magazines for Safeway, Marks & Spencer, BT, Harvey Nichols, Boots, the Early Learning Centre and BSkyB. For seven years before that, he worked at Gruner & Jahr on Prima, Best and Focus.
According to Frost: "Our sector continues to innovate and grow at an incredible rate. More and more brands are enthusing about communicating with their customers on an engaging, involving and intense level and they are just starting to understand the potential of the media they can own, over and above the media they can buy."
