AOL users offered CreditExpert deal

AOL has signed up Experian's credit checking service, CreditExpert, as part of a year-long deal that will see the service integrated into the navigation of the portal's Money channel.

Members of AOL will be given the opportunity to register for a free 30-day trial of the online credit monitoring and identity fraud protection service. The deal follows a popular three-month trial on AOL at the end of last year.

Users can access the free trial offer by clicking on links within the Money, Credit Cards, Loans or Mortgages content areas of the AOL service. Those who sign up for the free trial get access to their personal credit report, e-mail and text alerts for early fraud detection, free phone advice from credit reference specialists and credit tips and tools to help money management.
