LONDON (Brand Republic) - AOL UK has redesigned its portal site, aol.co.uk, adding extra services as well as an “AOL Showcase” designed to tempt prospective members.

New services for members include web-based access to email and AOL Instant Messenger, so that members can use the services when they are away from their PC. The redesigned site offers shopping and web centres, which include proprietary AOL content from columnists such as Russell Grant, John Gribbin and Matt Whyman.

The revamped service offers prospective members a tour of the service’s key features by Connie, AOL’s “online genie”. Pricing information and order forms for a free trial are also available. As part of the launch, the company has teamed up with QXL.com to give away a multimedia PC with free membership for a year.
