The deal with Sportinglife.com replaces a feed supplied by the BBC. AOL UK has used BBC content as a stop-gap solution while seeking a permanent partner after its original supplier, Sports.com, went into administration in June.
Sportinglife.com will provide news, live scores and league tables for sports including football, cricket, golf, horse racing, motor sports, rugby and tennis.
The new-look Sport channel will be relaunched using an AOL UK-branded version of Sportinglife.com's own web template.
Kerry Dyson, sports editor at AOL UK, said: "This is the first time we have offered a fully integrated sports service with a partner.
"Sportinglife.com has previously handled a bespoke service for us, before we had co-branded offerings."
Sportinglife.com already has content deals in place with companies including Yahoo! UK & Ireland, BTopenworld, and ntlworld.com.
Ben Warn, commercial director of the sports content division at ukbetting, parent company of Sportinglife.com, said: "A lot of opportunities have opened up for us following the demise of a number of sports internet brands."
