The online publisher has promoted Moore to head of agency sales, where he will manage a staff of 12 working across two teams in the division. His previous role of group head of agency sales saw him manage one of the two sales teams.
Moore left his role of corporate business development manager at IPC Media to join AOL in May 2007. His new role will see him become part of AOL and IPC parent group Time Warner's UK Advertising Council, established last week to make it easier for Time Warner's array of media firms to run ad campaigns across the group.
AOL's UK sales director Giles Ivey was the latest senior executive to leave earlier this month, when he accepted a role as Times Media's first digital commercial director.
But the portal has moved to bolster its senior team and last month promoted Michael Steckler to managing director. Moore will initially report to Steckler until a replacement is found for Ivey.
