AOL and IPC break off talks

LONDON - AOL Time Warner and IPC Media have broken off talks, which could have seen the US media giant buying the UK publisher of Loaded and Marie Claire, after failing to agree a price.

According to reports, intermittent talks between the two have been going on for months. IPC's largest shareholder, venture capital firm Cinven, deemed the $1.2bn (£850m) to $1.5bn (£1bn) reportedly offered by AOL Time Warner as insufficient.
