From 26 to 28 September, the fete will feature tutored tastings with The Balvenie’s brand ambassador, Dr Andrew Forrester, and workshops with The Balvenie’s craft partners including coopering sessions with head cooper, Ian McDonald.
Jonny Cornthwaite, The Balvenie brand manager, said: "Brands tend to be London centric and focus their attention on creating events in the capital.
"We didn't want to just follow in those footsteps and decided to go to Edinburgh instead. There's a huge whisky community there and we're looking forward to share a dram or two with them."
All of the events will be held in the geodesic domes, specially created from whisky casks from The Balvenie distillery.
Olivier Ward, Anonymous Artists' creative director, said: "Geodesic domes are hard to create, let alone making them from scratch using whisky barrels.
"It's certainly been a fun challenge and the result is worth all of the work that went in. I just hope they go someway to representing the crafts upheld at The Balvenie distillery."
