The campaign, which launches today, sees Animal flitting between tenderness and maniacal anarchy.
Lowe London has created two executions - ‘Tender’ and ‘Exfoliate’ - which revive the old strapline ‘Peperami. It’s a bit of an animal’.
In ‘Tender’, Animal laments on how people view him as a ‘bit of a meat head’. Then he suddenly tears a chunk of his body out to show how tender he really is.
In ‘Exfoliate’, Animal is shown moisturising his body with apple sauce to keep tender.
Once again, his character switches, and he exfoliates by shredding himself in a waste disposal unit in a kitchen sink.
Recent ads have focussed on its quality and used computer-generated animation.
