Anadin will next week unveil a departure from traditional
headache-cure advertising with a £2.5m campaign that will run
throughout the party season. The brand, owned by Whitehall Laboratories,
will use humour to show that you are unlikely to have a headache if you
have Anadin with you. Shot in black-and-white, with the only colour
being the yellow Anadin pack, the campaign aims to give a contemporary
feel to the product. One of the TV executions, 'Detective', shows a
criminal protesting his innocence while being interviewed about a crime.
When he uses the fact that he had a headache as his alibi, the detective
interviewing him triumphantly produces a pack of Anadin. Creative is by
Publicis and Media is by CIA.
