Posters, buses and taxis will all carry the "Think Yellow Pages message established in the television work, which was created by Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO. PHD is responsible for the media strategy and buying.
The 48-sheet posters extend a now familiar Yellow Pages advertising theme.
One shows a lone bird which is straying from the "V formation of flying birds and has a thought bubble showing the Yellow Pages classification "Maps and charts".
Another is set in an art gallery and features the different reactions of visitors looking at an abstract painting. While one is shown to be thinking of "banks", another has "skip hire on his mind. The ads will appear on sites in Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds, Southampton and Manchester.
Richard Duggleby, the head of external relations at Yellow Pages' Yell parent, said: "The new advertising creative aims to increase the use of Yellow Pages in a simple but humorous way by encouraging consumers to keep the product in mind when looking for goods and services."
The art gallery poster marks the AMV swansong for the writer and art director Jeremy Carr. A regular award-winner for his work on The Economist and Guinness Extra Cold, Carr resigned from the agency last month to join Miles Calcraft Briginshaw Duffy. The other poster was produced by Mary Wear.
The "thought bubbles theme is also being extended to 50 London taxis.
One execution will carry the words "Counselling and advice under the driver's window and "driving schools under the passenger window.
