Amra poaches Newsquest boss for London role

Amra has poached Newsquest's national sales director Sue Bebber.

Bebber will join the company in the newly created role of London sales director,  responsible for the London sales team and pushing forwards Amra's portfolio of titles.

Having left Newsquest last week, she will start work with Amra when chairman and chief executive Mike McCormack assumes the role of non-executive chairman in February.

Amra's managing director Gary McNish, who also jumped ship from Newsquest, last November, said: "The appointment of Sue Bebber again reinforces my belief that as the biggest organisation with the leading brands, Amra must continue to attract the best people in the industry - of which Sue is one. This ensures that we carry on providing the best and most informed national advertising service to media planners and buyers, and developing new revenue streams for our publishers."

Newsquest has promoted Jacqui Newman to replace Bebber as sales director from her previous role as business development manager.
